We stayed there last week 24-26 May 2011 - four ladies who hired a car and drove down from Seville. This was so easy to find - the Hotel was very easy to locate at the top of the village facing down into the valley. A beautiful hotel with a fantastic inner courtyard where you could sit and have breakfast. Up on the next level you could sit outside in the air surrounded by beautiful geraniums and then there was the roof garden where you could sunbathe or just admire the view roght around the valley. The staff were incredibly friendly - i had my laundry done which cost little or nothing and the place was spotless. Make sure you visit all the white towns - do the complete journey accross the mountain as its stunning - you should get them all done in one day and then go back and up to one of the restaurants up near the castle - great place great people. Simple but comfortable hotel. Good for a one night stay on route to somewhere. Free internet.
Poorly signposted. Very frustrating time trying to find it. B/fast not included din the room price. No international tv channels (bbc, cnn etc). Have to pay for parking.
Beautiful setting, kind reception, big room, guading of our luggage after check-out
Advice on place to eat at night was not up to standard
Very well situated, near to the old town. Free private parking. The staff was extremely helpful, congratulations. Breakfast very good, both continental and meat/cheese.
Beautiful building, superb views and stunning hilltop location. Rooms very nice, with own balcony. All in all, very good value.
The building and rooms were very authentic Spain to me. It was not a cookie cutter modern hotel, but was updated to be very comfortable.
Good location in historic centre for visits and lovely views over countryside
The double room had 2 single beds, lighting not good
Everyone was courteous and helpful, but Marta was outstanding!
A restful haven, there were 5 niches where you could hang out and enjoy sunshine, play cards, lay in the sun, read, talk; it was bliss; the refrigerator was stocked with reasonably prices refreshments and snacks;
Double room meant 2 Single beds that were narrower than usual -wonder if they have larger beds? A little confusing as double room I thought meant 1 double/full size bed not 2 singles.
The rooms were very clean and the owner had a good command of English as well as being very friendly. We liked the 1/2 size fridge which was in the room. It seemed a hotel made for families with children who like to swim in a pool - but not particularly for retired couples
The breadfasts were simple and the juices (orange) were made from crystals. There was a very limited variety of cold cuts.
Lovely hotel with attractive decor, patio area for breakfast and drinks. Getting there and parking was blissfully easy (parked immediately outside which was free because we stayed on a Saturday night). Very close to to the old town, the sights and excellent eating options. The staff were helpful and courteous and we would highly recommend this hotel for its excellent value
the hotel was quaint with very friendly people. The room was not very large but worth the money we paid. It is easily accessable by auto. The hotel had three different breakfast options/prices...
The A/C did not work very well. Our room never really cooled down to a temperature that was comfortable
The Hotel is very nice, a good perk was the secured parking. It is a short walk to the center of the town, but if you have a car the streets are so narrow that you might not be able to navigate in them. The breakfast was very reasonably priced, in a nice interior patio. The staff was extremly friendly. Arcos is very beautiful, quiet and not very busy.
I would have preffered it to be closer to town but then...see above!
A very pleasant hotel well furbished and maintained. Staff helpful - nothing too much trouble. Has a car park which was vital to our stay.
No restaurant which meant a walk up a very steep hill every night.
Nice location, charming building, friendly staff
Rooms a bit dated and small, bed was not very comfortable.
